Nepal continued their impressive run in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia East Asia Pacific (EAP) Qualifiers 2025, defeating Kuwait by 58 runs in a commanding performance that thrilled fans and strengthened their push toward T20 World Cup qualification.

Batting first, Nepal posted a competitive 141/7 in 20 overs, led by opener Kushal Bhurtel’s brilliant 66 off 56 balls. Skipper Rohit Paudel added vital runs in the middle order to set up a solid total.

In reply, Kuwait faltered under pressure, bowled out for just 83 runs in 18.1 overs. Nepal’s bowlers were on fire — Sandeep Lamichhane, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Rohit Paudel each picked up two wickets, while Bhurtel contributed with 1 for 6 to complete a stellar all-round display.

Kushal Bhurtel was deservedly named Player of the Match for his match-winning performance.

With this win, Nepal tops Group B and edges closer to qualifying for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The team’s balance, energy, and consistency continue to make them one of the most exciting emerging sides in world cricket.
